Scuba Diving with Sharks in Grand Bahama

Grand Bahama is a laid-back island where sun, sand and scuba diving is the primary attraction. One of our adventures included scuba diving with sharks. A trained diver, dressed in a chainmail shark suit descends to the bottom of the ocean (less than 60 feet) with a bucket of fish. Sharks come from all directions to feed. A group of drivers (my husband and I among them), kneel on the ocean floor about 20 or so feet away from the chainmail diver to observe the feeding. It was fascinating and not nearly as scary as I expected. The sharks were really quite content and docile, and I gained a new appreciation for these often maligned sea creatures.
