Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs- free and accessible is truly stunning 🤩 I could hardly believe I had this beauty practically to myself earlier this week. Good reminder to get outdoors during the week and not just save it for weekends. What a beauty! Red rocks have my ❤️ As we enter the holiday season, who else is thinking about health and fitness goals for 2024? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Honestly, we’ve let our fitness slide (a lot) these past few months and we are ready to kick it back into high gear. 🌿Have you ever had an ‘aha!’ moment when you realize something you thought you’d regret, turned into the best thing you’ve ever done? For us, it was tent camping in Yellowstone National Park when Siena was 2 and Kaelan was 5. 👦👧 Black Friday or Green Friday? 💚🌲🤔 Which do you choose? 💕Friends💕 I met these incredible women while we were serving in the Navy together, living on Diego Garcia - a teeny tiny island in the Indian Ocean — when we were barely 20 years old. Here we are 28 years later- and despite living in different parts of the world most of that time— we’re still friends. And on very rare- and incredibly wonderful- occasions we are all together in the same city. I just returned from a visit to chimpanzee paradise💚 I’m inspired every time I visit Chimp Haven. 🐵 Can you believe that these chimps were once subjected to invasive medical experiments? 😭 Today, they are living their best lives in sanctuary — climbing trees 🌲 living and playing in large, dynamic social groups and just being chimps— as it should be. I’ve served on the board of directors of this non-profit for 6 years. Visiting here and seeing them thriving is one of the most rewarding experiences. No visit to Chicago is complete without a ride on the Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier. Chicago was home to the original/first Ferris wheel 🎡 It provides a remarkable view of the Chicago skyline - which is gorgeous (SAVE for your Chicago trip planning). 🎃Happy Halloween! 👻 We hope your holiday is spooky fun and full of sweet treats. Ours is verrrryyyy chilly 🥶 Not sure how long the kids will last trick or treating this evening. Can’t wait to see all the costumes. CHICAGO NATURE — Wilderness beckons and it abounds near Chicago. Now is a beautiful time to explore Cook, Lake and DuPage County forest preserves where the fall colors are peaking. Nature is calling 💚
